At Windhond Blits, we believe that great fires start with great firelighters. Handmade using only the finest raw materials, our firelighters are crafted for performance, reliability, and consistency—delivering one of the best fire-starting experiences on the market.

We’re a small, family-run business with big dreams. Our story began one evening around a stubborn fire that just wouldn’t catch. Frustrated, my father-in-law and I set out to create the ultimate firelighter. We bought 13 different brands from our local supermarket and put each one to the test. After weeks of experimentation and refining, we finally struck the perfect balance—resulting in a firelighter that burns strong for up to 20 minutes.

Around the same time, my wife surprised me with an Italian Greyhound puppy named Aaden—completely unaware that "Aaden" means fire and flame. Inspired by this fiery little pup, we named our creation Windhond Blits—Dutch for Greyhound Flash.
